Casa Nicaragua - Jerez Legacy
Casa Nicaragua - Jerez Legacy
An exquisite blend of aged tobaccos grown in Esteli, Jalapa and Condega. Hints of dark chocolate, plum and cinnamon, rounded out with finishing notes of oak and molasses. I even get a delicious ice cream sandwich taste from this one!
1492 Jerez Legacy was created to honor Rodrigo de Jerez. He was a crewman who sailed to the Americas on the "Santa Maria," as part of Christopher Columbus' first voyage across the Atlantic Ocean in 1492. He is credited with being the first European smoker.
Jerez observed natives smoking, making rolls of palm and corn leaves with tobacco inside, lighting one side and puffing the smoke out of the other. Jerez picked up the tobacco smoking habit, and when he returned to Europe he introduced the habit to his home town, which later expanded to the new world.
This cigar pays honor to Jerez with a complex blend that provides rich flavors and excellent aroma.
